Mathematics for Human Flourishing is name of both my book and a speech that spawned the book. The book (Yale University Press, 2020) is aimed at the general public. The speech was directed to mathematicians, and I gave it in my capacity as president of the Mathematical Association of America.

The Lesson of Grace in Teaching. This is probably my most shared piece of writing. This was a speech I gave after winning the Haimo Award, a nationwide teaching award for college faculty. It appeared on my blog and was published in The Best Writing on Mathematics 2014.​
